Inspired by the 17th-century taste for popular influences and the vogue for court ballet, Geoffroy Jourdain and Les Cris de Paris, joined by Camille Boitel, dance to Monteverdi’s music and bring it to life through dance. Their imaginary ballet joyfully brings together sacred and secular music, journeying through the Italian composer’s work from madrigals to opera, and from the Selva morale to the Scherzi musicali.
